another newbie question

another newbie question

can you set up the push/turn encoders to act in the following way.
turning in normal mode contols one parameter, while pushing and
turning activates a different cc command.
i find the manual to be pretty vague on this.
do the push functions of these ecoders act as a switch or as a mode
changer allowing say one encoder to have two turnable functions?

The push function of the encoder is completely separate from the turn
function. The push function is an off/on switch basically (as in, for
example, note on/off).

It sounds, however, that what you want is possible using the four
encoder group buttons. This permits up to four turn functions for each
encoder.
