> thanks steve for the quick reply. i had tried all the settings and have finally found out the cause. apparently as i have searched all forums regarding ableton live... they have filters on midi which filters out all sysex and nnrp. so with a simple setup with midi ox i was able to forward the bcr usb to my soundcards midi out without filtering and then in ableton create a normal midi track to play the tz in a seperate track. works perfect. what i still cant understand is why ableton, which is very midi forward (including using m4l) is unable to send on sysex messages. but nevermind. thankyou all for taking the time to help out.
