Hi,

If you are using Windows you don't need huskervu and midiyoke.
In Windows XP you need to install the drivers from the Behringer site (USB MIDI DRIVER (V1.2.1.3) for BCF2000 & BCR2000 (94 KB)), in Windows Vista you don't need to install the drivers.
Also, make sure you have installed the latest firmware (BCF2000 Version 1.10 (70 KB) ) a start the unit in Mackie mode.
This works fine for me in Sonar and Ableton Live, in fact I find that Ableton Live is one of the best applications dealing with external controllers.
I hope this helps.

The downloads are at http://www.behringer.com/EN/Support/B-Control-Downloads.aspx

Good luck,
Marco

Its been over a year since i got this BCF 2000 from dubai as direct dealership is not available in india. Since then my nightmare started. I havent used it at all for the past one year as i found the setting up difficult. and i dont have support here.

i have cubase sx3 and i want to use bcf 2000 atleast to control the cubase mixer so that i can do automation.

As instructed i have downloaded huskervu and midiyoke and installed it.

i have booted the bcf in mackie mcc mode and set up mackie control in cubase.

and setup goes like this

in cubase

mackie control

input: bcf2000 (01) to out: midiyoke 1

in huskervu input: midiyoke 1 to output bcf2000 (01)

but on starting a project in cubase the faders dont even respond.

can some one please help me in laymans terms on what i need to do to get this thing work on cubase sx3???

some help will be greatly appreciated as i have done a song with many midi and audio tracks badly waiting to be mixed and automated

please do help

ok i have just started using the bcf2000 with my cubase sx3. i am a terrible noob!!. after the last post i got a mail from Denis Gerage asking me to read up the French converted english PDF in here.

I had read it and i tried first setting up the machine . i installed the machine in my computer with midi driver BCFBCR2000v1213.zip and now my audio, video game controller shows B-Control MIDI ( 10/19/2005 ) 1213. booted up the bcf in ncc

Then as said i set up mackie control in cubase with in and out to BCF2000(01) clicked apply and ok.

the BCF responded and 01.02 appeared in the lcd display. when put and audio track the first fader came up. i was happy.the cubase mixer responded to the fader movements

when i closed newly opened project the fader still stayed there in the up position only after which nightmare started.

the display still shows 01.02.

when i opened an already existing project which i had done before ( comprising of many midi/audio tracks) the fader wouldnt move to appropriate position at all.

even after the close of the cubase the display still shows 01.02 it doesnt come back rto ncc at all. it comes only after rebooting the machine

before doing all these i completely uninstalled midiyoke and huskervu and rebooted the computer and did the installation.

can someone tell me what is wrong with the way i do?. is it possible to mix my already existing project with bcf? if yes then how?. why doesnt the bcf come back to ncc after closing the cubase is this normal?

some one please help i am desperate

ps: i used midiox so sendf the sysex file to bcf

i have had no formal training with controllers so please help me as i am desperate to set this thing

please do reply

You Should Check this link http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1493744
There are 2 videos explaining the setup of BCF2000 including software upgrades and Sonar configuration.
I think you can follow this and try to match with Cubase.
Please note that you should not need to install any additional software on your PC, you only need to make sure your BCF2000 has firmware 1.10, the latest BCF2000 drivers and Cubase/Sonar/Ableton

Download the Behringer editor to update your sysex. To use it you must find an older version of Java. I believe it only works with Java 1.4.6, but it works very well.

Once you have it installed and properly set up for Mackie emulation you must do this. Think like this: the BCF2000 is pretending to be a Mackie Control Unit (MCU). It does most, but not everthing, the MCU does.

You can than go to the Mackie site and search for tutorials on how to use the MCU with Cubase. Same thing in the Cubase forums.

So, once the BCF2000 is updated and installed, just 'pretend' it is a MCU when you learn to use it or search for information. Before long it will be a breeze.

You should also learn to use the Behringer Template editor. It is not too hard to learn and once you do learn it, you can then make multiple templates for the unit as well as store them on your computer.

Good luck!
