Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hi; have just bought a bcr and am trying to set it up; wading through manuals & getting orribly confused.... however I think this one is a simple issue(at least I know what the problem is!). The manual says, to set the usb/standalone mode, press store + edit at the same time then select with Rotary one; but I don't get U 1 etc, the display stays/returns to P-1. Bcmanager tells me I've got the latest firmware installed.   Any suggestions, please?

You can take over all the buttons, including STORE and EDIT, in a preset and use it to send out Midi information. Very handy, but that means you can't get into Global Edit Mode.

Try changing the preset to P-2 or P-3 etc and try STORE + EDIT again.

If that doesn't work then you must have a lot of presets with the Function keys disabled. Use Mark's BCManager to change the Global value.

 no,can't change the presets, and today bcmanager does'nt detect the bcr at all; am going to install bcmanager on another computer & connect to that because I've got midi ox,loopbe 1 & maple midi installed (no I don't need them all!)& there may well be something I've set wrong, as well as maybe an asio conflict with the digi001. 
  Incidentally, in midi devices bcr was listed twice as  "bcr2000[1] and bcr2000[1]-A "  ( I think that was right). Is this how it's meant to be or something I've installed/entered twice?.

Off to do some woodwork to relax!

You can force the BCR to start in a blank preset by holding EXIT & STORE buttons while powering up the BCR. Now you should be able to get to the Global edit area. 
Before you do this you might like to change the preset (<> keys) to a more friendly preset (then again this next preset could have all the the keys locked too.) OR press STORE twice to overwrite this troublesome preset with the Init preset.

Yes this is correct when it is in one of the USB modes
mode U-1 should just have the BCR2000(16) for in and out
mode U-2 should have the BCR2000(16) & BCR2000(16)-A for in and out
mode U-3 should have the BCR2000(16) & BCR2000(16)-A for in and 
                   BCR2000(16) & BCR2000(16)-A & BCR2000(16)-B for out
mode U-4 should just have the BCR200(16) for in and 
                   BCR2000(16) & BCR2000(16)-B for out
