Ok I'm learning.... but very sloooowly. Need help with bhui mode in protools

Behringer has a 5 page pdf on emulations modes. That last one is bhui which so far is the only one I can get to work in protools. Reading this (or looking at this, its just a drawing) has helped me tremendously. There is so much more functionality than I realized. I can control my send levels now if I only use the first 4 for each track and I can toggle on and off my automation write functionality (volume mute pan...) for each aspect of the automation. It appears that I should be able to change my automation modes also (off read write touch latch) but its not working for some reason. Any ideas?
