Group, I just found this group, and am glad to see that other BC_2000 users are sharing information. I recently purchased the BCR2000 for use with my Motif RackES and PLG150-AN (analog synth card). Initially, I was hoping to assign every function of the PLG card to a knob or button, but soon realized that the task was daunting (if not impossible). I was able to get the BCR2000 to "learn" several Sysex commands (by tweaking controls in the ANExpert editor software), but other Sysex commands failed to execute properly (I could never get beyond the "bad" message). Next, I decided to take the simpler approach of using Program Change, CC and NRPN commands, entering them via the B-Control software. Unfortunately, my computer's JAVA runtime version is higher than the B-Control version, so I'm getting timeout errors when attempting to save my presets to the BCR2000. On to manual data entry... I've been successful with manually programming the BCR2000 to do Program Change and CC commands, however I'm a bit confused when it comes to entering the NRPN and RPN commands (both manually, and via the B-Control software). In my RackES and PLG150-AN manuals, all NRPN and RPN commands have both MSB and LSB values which need to be sent prior to sending the range (0-127) information. Yet in the B- Control software, and during manual entry on the BCR2000, there is only one field into which the NRPN or RPN command (MSB+LSB) needs to be entered. For example, the EG Attack Time parameter of my Motif RackES is coded as follows: Midi Channel = 02 NRPN MSB = 01(Hex) NRPN LSB = 63(Hex) NRPN Low Value = 00(Hex) NRPN High Values = 7F(Hex) Does anybody on this forum know how to make this entry work? Also, I've seen mention of a program called BCFREDIT.EXE, written by one of the forum members "Birdie". Does anybody know how I can get a copy of this utility? (Perhaps this program will keep me from having to revert to a previous JAVA version...) Thanks, Greg
