Re: i have a slow encoder!!

2009-06-17 by konkretomat

I Had this problem twice, with two different machines.. i sent both back to the shop and they just changed it, without repairing nor testing it. In my case this problem was always the top-left push-encoder, wich need to be turned a lot to increase the value and it couldn't be set the highest defined value, even if I turned the encoder around a lot of times. It always jumped back from 126 to 121 (range 0-127) and some more random values occured. I believe, but no evidence, that the poti-board was broken.. If the prob still remains and its not related to the configuration auf the Encoder resolution. just try to get a fresh one.. they must know the problem

anybody got similiar problems?
It'd be interesting, cause I had to sent back alltogether 3 machines because of things like that. The last one, because it hasn't been recognized via USB port and funny, the full LED-ring was displayed on all encoders (not just the top row), but without any of them working... and the displayed was not working at all.
