Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi group. This is my first post.

I used to own an S950 but I had to let it go.

Now Im about to purchase an S1000 but only if I can do certain things I could do with the S950.

First of all, the S950 had the option "One-Shot" that means when you hit a key with a short midi note the sample plays till its end.
Very usefull if you use the S950 with an mpc and you just hit the pads and want the sample to play. Also usefull when you play drums.

Then, if you assign 8 samples (phrases) on one of the eight individual outs, when you play the samples, one cancels the other. Thats very usefull when you chop a music phrase and want to rearrange the sample and make a new phrase out of it.


Can this be done in the S1000? I know it has polyphony of 16 voices (S950 had 8). But can you have a sample canceling the other while they play in the "one-shot" mode?
