Is it possible to take the FX, SCSI and so forth out of an S1100 and fit them into an S1000? I take it that both machines are mainly the same in build, and that S1100 is just a S1000 with the expansions already fitted, plus better A/D converters yes?

i don't think they are that similar. The effects chip for instance is socket mounted on the mainboard. Further, the S1100 OS would not work on an S1100 however the other cards most likely are the same and should work. --- bronxed01 <bronxed01@...> wrote:
