Eproms for S1100 and EX1100

Eproms for S1100 and EX1100

2006-02-16 by Francois Rossi

I'm looking to buy from someone a 4.3 eprom from my S1100 and a 1.36
eprom for my EX1100.

If nobody can burn these and sell me the eproms, perhaps someone can
email me the eprom images ?

Thanks for your help,

Francois

Dear Francois,

The S1000 emprom images are in the Files section. I asked for the
S1100 & EX eprom images and I'll put them online as soon as I get them.

Rgds,
Frank

Re: s3000 upgrade

2006-02-18 by dizardsdreams

hi all, thanks for the info on upgrading the s1000 with 8 meg
ram, however the idea of cutting tracks is two much for me.
I have an s1100 that sees the 8 meg boards,so I can put them in that.
However I still need another sampler with more memory(I have two music
systems in different places.Does the s3000 need any modifications?is
upgrading them a lot easier/?the editing on both machines is
similair,so might try and buy an s3000,if upgrading is easier that
is,any input welcome,thanks

S-1100 and S-1100EX see 8MEG cards as standard.
Cutting adress-busses an re-jumpering (soldering) is only w/ S-1000 and S-1000PB.
This is very easy b.t.w. !!! :-)

If you haven't already purchased a card . Then I recommend the M-Audio Firewire 1814. It will give you the 8 inputs to feed out of the akai. It's also M-Powered So you can run Pro-Tools MPowered on it.

Low end (cost wise) - Get a used Gadget Labs 8/24. 8 in/out on a 1 unit
break out box, 24/96, midi in/out.
Higher end - RME Fireface. awesome! highly recommended.
