>> I have now got my second Akai S1000, and the same thing happens as
the first, so it must be something intrinsic to both units, as I'm
certain both units aren't defective.
Come on all you S1000 users! Doesn't any of you know what I'm
talking about?
I LOVE both my machines, but there is certainly a technical glitch I
have found with them.
Just to recap, if you make about 10 stereo samples, each one 44.1KHz,
length 0.75 secs, with MIDI note as a trigger, and save ENTIRE VOLUME
to disk, when you reload this volume back into the S1000, as you play
each drum repeatedly in turn, 1 or 2 samples, will fluctuate between
both -L and -R parts playing in unison, and only one sounding.
Please try it, and let me know if I'm imagining things, it's a trait
of the machine, or I'm crazy. I've tried all the setting adjustments
I can think of, and both my units do this, so I'm confident they're
both sound.
Desperate for help and input!!
James
