Hi!
I've got the scsi2sd connected to the SCSI card. I converted my centronics 50pin cable to have IDC connection on the scsi2sd end. It's a bit rough connection but my multimeter said every connection should work properly.


When I start the s1000 some lights blink one the scsi2sd so it should atleast start and get power through the SCSI connections, but when trying to format the SD-card from the Akai it says "hard disk drive not ready". Where can I start to approach the problem?

Does the SD card need to be Akai-formatted? 




Bad card? (I doubt it, but you might test it on something else.)

Compatible card? Most cards are today.  
Reputable brand/manuf?

hi,

have you set the correct scsi id on your akai? by default it's i guess 5 for 
hard drive. what scsi id is your scsi2sd at?

Changed the ID to 5 and double checked if it's the right one. Also formated the SD-card to Akai format with Chicken Sys Translator but that didn't help neither. I guess I'll have to start looking the problem from the cable or the SCSI-card. :/

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
