Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hello,

First time post in these forums, so thanks in advance for any help.

I've acquired an s1000 sampler, and after a bit of tinkering to repair a backlight and Data Wheel, I've seen that the s1000 isn't detecting any of the Ram Cards. There are 3 in there. One is labelled 8MB, the other's I am not sure of.

I have swapped them all, reseated them and tested them individually in the first slot, but the sampler continually read 0 MWords. I have run the Waveform memory Test and it reports slots as having "no Card". I have removed mother board and can see the sampler was altered to accommodate for 8MB Ram Cards.

Can someone please give me some advice, or point me in the right direction of what could possibly be wrong.
