akai s1000 Adjust Clock Rate Before Setting?

hi guys i take down a broken s1000 and try to resume it... otherwise i will cannibalize it and use extra for an other one btw i never use a s1000 even if i'm into akai what the hell is Adjust Clock Rate Before Setting from test menu? i would like to understand this before trying to set it how can i adjust that? am i missing something? i check under menu but can't find anything... ale
