Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hello,
Recently my S1100 has stopped working correctly, when ever I try and load
files (zip 250 and 100) it will either give me a hard disk read error, not
recognize a drive at all or will load three files then give me a hard disk
read error. I thought maybe the zip 250 went bad so I tried a different zip
drive known to be working, I also disconnected the computer and tried with
only the zip and akai together. I think it may be hanging a bit longer on
the w"waiting for hard disk" msg, It does seem to find it though.
 I figureed I'd ask here because there are alot of old school akai heads
here with great knowledge on this machine.
