16 megawords = 32 Megabyte ... thats how it works .. x 2 the Mwords = megabytes From: mailto:akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, February 25, 2016 12:59 PM To: akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com Subject: [akaiS1000S1100Samplers] Memory lost on S1100 I recently bought a S1100. It showed 16megawords on startup. I opened it and found that it actually has 4 of the 8MB boards from Mutech. Somehow only two of the boards showed up at start. I expected it was caused by oxidation, so I removed all the memory boards, checked that the dip settings where OK and reseated the RAM cards. Now only one card works, the Akais show 4 Megawords at startup. I tried rearranging the boards, reseating them, etc. Without luck. Any idea what can be wrong? Thanks, Franky
