Hi Jason,

I have a CD-Rom on my ESI-32, what samples do you have for it. I also have a HD (540MB or something like that) that has the ESI D-70, 01/W Collection2, Stereo Grand, Trigger Funk, Synth Mania, D-70 Collection 2, Vintage Combo, Rythm Section, Techno Shop, Orchestral, Analog Pro 1 and SY85 Collection 1. Also have Roland SOLO Synth (but only dsk 1), Marimba 1 (v-mix), JP-8 Brass & Strings 1, Electric Orgam 3,4 and Vibraphone 1,2, but these are all on those pesky 2.8" Roland disks and I can't read them.

I have 2 Akai S2000 (one I fitted a HD into), Roland S-220 (Bad 2.8" drive), EMU ESI-32, EMU XL-1 turbo, EMU Proteus FX, EMU Percussion module and a 360 Systems Professional MIDI BASS. Along with 4 effects unit (and 1 Peavey Ultraverb II I just got the schmatics of Peavey for {these are nice people}).

Having said all that I can not get them to talk to either my PC or MAC via SCSI (Windows 7 or OSX 10.4.11).

I use a ZIP 100 drive and a Syquest 1.5GB drive both work on the SCSI flawlessly. As well as the SCSI CD-ROM (Toshiba old MAC unit) and the Akai which I fitted a HD into using the for 3000XL only pins.

Can you give me any information on getting WAV onto any of these samplers, with out using the ANALOG inputs.

Paul.

Hi Kev,

Welcome to the group.
How are the 44mb Sy-Quests bearing up? I use a Zip,external 500mb HD and an external CD-Rom with my S5000 but I have always wondered what the Sy-Quest's were like.
My friend had an S1100 sounded a nice machine certainly sounds better than the stock S5000.

I used to have an X7000 my first sampler if you don't include an Atari ST cart I liked it but those stupid 2.8inch microdiscs did my head in,also that seperate out cable was a pig 13pin din I think always kept having to resolder that.

Do you know what type of samples your S1100 can import because I have a CD-Rom I can upload to you with lots of old analogue drum machine samples I made for my ESi32 which the S5000 loads not sure about S1100 or S3000XL?

I used to have a TR505 too, basically sounds a bit like a 707 with a couple of 727 latin percussion sounds I used to love the rubbery kick drum.
