Theremin Elbow Update - Etherfest

Theremin Elbow Update - Etherfest

2008-03-15 by kmg5443

Well boys and girls, we're doing a LOT better here. I have stopped
seeing my physical terrorist, but still take anti-inflammatories and
wear a brace. Most of the pain is gone now, but my upper arm will
twinge a bit when I over do things. I've moved Gabriella off the
amplifier and she is sitting on a low chair.

Mr. Pringle and Charles Lester commented that sitting Gabby on top of
the Fender and playing her there was a big NO-NO. Poor posture
aggravated things.

The carpenter still has not completed my permanent cabinet. Deer
season was over in late January in Georgia. He started then (he's
also a hunter).

I can play comfortably for about half an hour now. I find myself just
playing whatever flows out of my hands. It's almost all totally made
up in my head. I'm working on a composition right now. I'll let
everyone know when I am completed. I just don't feel like playing
something someone else has written at the moment.

Also, still no definite word on Moog whether or not they will give me
a slot at Etherfest for a "builders forum". Yes, I do plan on
bringing Gabby. Mark Keppinger has agreed to gather some material as
he cannot attend.

Glad to hear it's getting better.

So anyone game to do some video recording at EtherFest? Provided it's
okay with Moog, of course....

Great news Philip.
Keep at it, hope you're playing will be pain free from now on.

I think the same small staff that's doing EtherFest is also running Moog's
part in the big German music industry convention. So we may just be in a
temporary dearth of response from them on EtherFest and all.

Hope folks can take and share good notes of EtherFest at least with us, if
not videos.

Thanks!

I'd love to be on their program. I've got the osciloscope out these and
I am in the process of hunting down the last little bits of birdies and
other odd noises. I reached a point of saturation last November and
said "ENOUGH, I WANT TO PLAY NOW!", even if Gabby wasn't 100% perfect,
but only 99%, give or take.

The 1% bothered me so much while I was trying to put something together
for David's program this past weekend that Gabby is now back on the
workbench.
