Great news

Hello my friends:

Great news--

Me and Sheri's 7th wedding anniversary is coming up soon. She knows I
have been shopping around for wood around town and on the internet.
Apparently something has been up and she knew I was probably about to
start buying material to make my Keppinger theremin cabinet. Sheri
called me on the phone and broke the news to me today.

She is going to get a master wood craftsman that her family has known
for a LONG time to make my theremin cabinet for me as an anniversary
gift. No expense will be spared. It will be a first class job all the
way in all respects.

I was and am speechless.....

Wait, it gets even better:

I went to my church last night and tried out for the praise band. It
was fun. It was loud. Everything I've heard about hearing onesself
was true. I put my amp right behind me so I could here what I was
doing.

Some of the music was not really suited for my instrument. Some was.
This is to be expected, I guess. The band director said it sounded
like a woman singing. I said that is what its supposed to sound like,
and I thanked him for the compliment.

I went in with the attitude that if my God wanted to use my talents I
would be accepted. If not, then so be it. I would be happy either
way. I feel blessed that this instrument was brought into my life
almost two years ago.

I was accepted as a musician, and was asked to come back. I had a
great time. This was the first time I've played in this kind of
setting, outside of my immediate family.

I feel blessed, truly blessed. I can't wait to play Gabrielle for
them after her cabinet is finished.

Very nice. :-)

A grand instrument deserves a grand appearance.

What a thoughtful gift from Sheri. Heartwarming and wonderful!

That's brilliant. My oldest brother is a Christian and
is very involved in his Church's praise band. We've
often joked about me sitting in with them on theremin
some Sunday morning. I can't wait to tell him about
this.
