The music shop chain Guitar Center are Moog stockists, and have  
branches in Richmond and Virginia Beach. According to their website  
Etherwave Theremins are a product that they sell in their stores as  
well as online, so there is a reasonable chance there will be one in  
stock, but I would phone ahead to make sure. You might also like to  
ask when is a quiet time for you to visit, as letting a novice loose  
on a theremin is not necessarily a customer-friendly action.
