7 Stage Analog Envelope !

7 Stage Analog Envelope !

2006-01-25 by electrovoz

We the people need to gather and rally for the creation of an envelope
that will exploit all the *AMAZING* sounds hidden in the new ZO.
I'm thinking a real advanced envelope with more than 4 stages.
What do you all think ???... Let push the envelope FORWARD !...

The UEG does this amazingly well, as Ben says. I've done some drones
with the UEG, ZO, and an MOTM 300 that are very nice...

It depends on what you consider a stage. There are 7 settable levels,
the 8th always being zero, and 8 rates between the levels. When you
run in sequence mode, one of the rate pots is borrowed to allow you to
have 8 levels.

If you need it to be analog, you could do this with the Doepfer quad EG
and a mixer. Anything with end of stage trigger outputs works well.
But stuff like this is done really well in digital, like the Encore UEG.
Is there a reason it needs to be analog? I can't imagine needing a 7
stage envelope to do percussive sounds...
