Hi folks
i have been on this lists a while lurking and wonder about the zero osc , i'm not 100% sure what it is ?:)) is it a fm osc ? i'm intrigued as it looks rather cool but wonder how different it is ? and its character ? is this a howling banshee or can it purr like a pussycat ? interested to know its character and why you people ae buying them and what for ? its seems easy to modualte 1 osc with another and fm an osc using current available osc on the market ? what makes the zero osc unique ?
Please note this is a post from a novice to a degree and although ive programmed a Dx7 for years i havent fully looked at the zero osc info or understand it ! so if its a bit cynical thats actually my own stupidity or ignorance !
It looks cooll ! but seems a large outlay for 1 x osc ?
cheers
jack

You're in luck, as Euro format Zeroscillators have the silver knobs!
We've been so busy assembling, calibrating, and shipping ZOs
that we haven't updated all of the pictures of the Euro ZO on the
site yet. Another Zeroscillator which will look better than its
screen illustration, (what I call a "sketch") is the Dotcom version.
In using the 'silver' buttons, (actually black with silver discs) it helped
to create a new sophisticated look of our own, while combining
panel elements from the various established Euro-Rack format
manufacturers.
The Miniphone jacks in our Euro and FracRak are the absolute
best available by the way, and are a factor of six or eight times more
expensive than the jacks used by other brands.
Multiply that by (20) front panel jacks for example,
and you can see the kind of quality that a Zeroscillator represents.
Please have a look at the PHOTO section of this Yahoo List to
see the actual front panels (and circuit boards) for each flavor ZO.
