need music to play on radio show
2001-09-19 by eric barbour
Hello to list members---
I have a show on KPFZ 104.5, the new community-supported radio
station here in Lake County, CA. My show is 1 hour per week,
and consists ENTIRELY of electronic music.
But there is a constant need for material to play! There are no record
shops in the entire county, and donations from local people are very
rare---and they tend to be top-40, blues or oldies.
I have no preferences other than it must be predominantly electronic--
my show features everything from Clara Rockmore's classic theremin
playing to Einsturzende Neubauten's industrial noise.
CDs are preferred, though cassettes are OK. Unreleased or demo
material is also accepted. I can return the material when done
with it--this might take a few months, no guarantee it can be
returned or used quickly.
Here's your chance to get on the radio--admittedly, it's a low power
FM station in an isolated semirural county. But it is real, and
hundreds of Clear Lake residents will hear your music (people who would
otherwise not hear you or hear OF you).
Any contributions of original music are appreciated. Thank you.
