I ordered 4 small banana leads and have been charged US$41 for postage!
I have written back to say this is a crazy price considering I pay
$20for eurorack modules...

You Americans dont know how lucky you are.

Looks close in vintage to mine(though labeled
incorrectly as someone elses, plus it's actually one
of the Calarts circa Serges, very early 70's probably
71 or 72 I think. This one being built by Carter
Thomas), here's a link to the manual:
http://home.att.net/~djaux/intro76.htm
which is a great site as well.

Need help gathering information

2008-03-12 by S V G

Hi,

The two panels on the left are pre-1977, I can't say for sure how much farther back they go.
They could even have been built in 1977 and just used the old style graphics. The panel on the
upper right (3 modules) are in the 1977-78 era. This I can say for sure.

Is everything functioning on it?

Stephen

Re: Need help gathering information

of note is that there are 17 columns in the older (left) panels. Most
older ones I've seen only have 16, and a slightly narrower panel.
My 1973 (confirmed) unit is very similar to this, so I'd put it as
being a 1973 to 1974 unit. The VCOs and filters in the earlier ones
were covered in black resin.
As far as I know, Serges were not made before 1973, mine being one of
the second batch. Apparently earlier models didn't even use the
standardised graphics presented here.
