Rex Contact

2001-06-07 by Real Name

Hi all

Rex just called back and he was in great form... sounds like there's a bit
of a back-log
of orders but nothing too serious... he shipped the first panel from his new
HQ last week and he
was satisfied the quality was as high as it ever was...

great news!

Kirk

Greetings,

I'm brand new here, and panel #1 from the new heartland office
was mine. I picked it up Saturday from Kevin Fortune in El
Cerrito. The panel consists of 4 Quadrature Osc's, 2 Scaling
Proc's, and 4 adaptors. I placed the order in early January, so the
turnaround was a bit longer than originally projected, but so far
I'm quite happy with the panel. The waveforms are very clean, the
circles (sine/cosine) on an x-y display are extremely circular,
which is what i was looking for.

soooooo, so far so good at the new shop.

Nice to meet you'se,
Bob Roesler

i must say to thats a strange panel, so please let us know how you'll be using
that configuration.

matt

Matt et. al.,

I had this idea a while back of using an audio synth to generate voltages to
drive an x-y laser projector and to make stereo time exposures (ala
viewmaster slides) of the resulting patterns being projected out into the
environment (whatever that is).

I started out with a Doepfer unit because of the price point, also got a
nord "modular", and wanted the Quadrature oscillators to make circles, and
for the build quality. The pictures are pretty interesting, IMHO, a sort of
time record in three dimensions.

anyway, that's what I've been doing, and now being able to make good, clean
circles will allow me a bit more precision in the particular area I've kind
of focussed on lately.

best regards, and a promise to report back as I have anything to add,
