ROX source?

ROX source?

2001-05-15 by alt-mode

Does anybody know a source for the cases used in the ROX? I'm looking for a 4U rack
mount box for a project and a ROX would be perfect, except for the cost. I've done
some searching but I can't seem to find anything that will work. It seems like a 4U
rackmount chassis would be a fairly typical thing to find but I can't seem to find
one. Any ideas or pointers would be welcome.

Eric

Sorry, the ROX is the Serge/STS Rackmount Box. It's the standard 4U rackmount case
for Serge panels. ROX is the name from the catalog.

Thanks for the tips and info everyone. It seems that California Chassis hasn't made
any of the 4U chassis for quite awhile. They "threw away" the last 8 they had in
1997 and offered to make new ones for $275/ea. A ROX from Rex is cheaper...

Andre Stordeur has had a fair amount of Serge related DIY stuff on his Analog
Cottage site.
I don't know if Andre is on this list or not... I do believe he's currently
in Europe visiting family for several weeks.
