Serge CD

Well, after much knashing of teeth i finaly figured out that my mail
was being bounced but i couldn't figure out how to fix it... looks
like i fixed it so...... thanks for post ing that for me Les : )
My CD entitled Hells Canyon was released on the
Hypnos/Binary lable a couple weeks ago. I was out of town
attending the Different Skies electronic workshop/jam
session/performance at Arcosanti so i was unable to post to the
list. You can order at the Hypnos store on their web site. I've had
just a little bit of feedback so far. Doesn't seem to be any middle
ground here nor did i expect any. Your either going to like it or
hate it or maybe a coaster on your coffee table is a better use. On
the Hypnos forum one guy posted that he was seriously
bummed because he was expecting more Stearns or Telomere
and he didn't get it...called the CD "experimental and ambient"
and NOT electronic. Well i just about fell down laughing ...to each
his own i guess. If this thing isn't electronic then my name is
George Bush. Anyway, the CD was recorded over a period of
about three years in the late 90's. Except for a little Juno 106 on
Paleozoic Twilght it's all Serge. For those of you who are
gracious enough to actually lay down cash for this release i
thank you very much for your support. Feel free to send me your
comments good or bad it doesn't matter. I consider myself a
novice and somewhat of a hack and technophobe so you won't
be ruffeling my feathers with a serious torching.
Everyone have a good weekend
Kind regards
John DuVal

Cool! I'm so gonna get this! Anyone know which Stearns records specifically have ONLY Serge synths?? I mean nothing else.. I wanna hear only Serge in action.. Since my dreams of owning one will remain a dream since the new price hike.. Man, I shoulda spent my 5 grand on a serge instead of a Mellotron....Maybe.

Aaaargh. I definitely would have.
For one thing, much more fun to play around with.

Cool - just ordered one!

I'm sitting here right now listening to John Papiewski's "Perpendicular
Twist", which is right nice if you haven't heard it yet. Very
minimalistic, if you're into that sort of thing. Drop him a line and see
if you'll trade you for one of yours!

I really believe in supporting the efforts of list members. Actually,
we're probably the main customers we have I would imagine.. I'm waiting
on the cover art of my soundtrack of "Killer", and then I'm releasing
that. "Killer" is mostly ABSynth and Modcan with a little Waldorf XTk
thrown in here and there. If I don't forget, I'll send you a copy once I
get the cover art.

Plus, I got something a little more abstract in the works which will
probably be pure Modcan, but that's gonna take awhile to finish.

Best of luck selling those panels. There's a few other places I could
post the list if you wish, but I'm not responsible for the replies you
might get! Let me know!

I may be wrong, but I think that the only Stearns recording that is all
Serge is Planetary Unfolding. Other recordings include Obeheim, Yamaha
and eMu synths as well as some acoustic instruments. Anyone know
different? :)
