Creativesynth.com is having an artist CD sale this week.

Among others you can get m/n/m/l on indestructible CD-R for ten bucks
plus a dollar shipping ($11 total). All experi-mental, idiosyncratic,
Serge. Handy plastic ordering system.

edgy experimental electronics and find your cupboard is bare, now's the
time to get some.

If your pitching arm trembles feverishly waiting for Blake Wilson's
Serge Artist CD, get a fix NOW and soothe the extremity.

Thank you for your times.

Are there any news on this or did I just miss a mail when reading through the
archives? Where can I get one?

Best regards

The last posting I saw was mid Nov 2002 when the message was 'right
around the new year'. Three months have brought no news so it's most
likely months off yet.

So why wait? Take advantage of the sale and see what somebody can do
with a small Serge.

I just received my m/n/m/l (what does that mean anyway
John?) "Perpendicular Twist" CD from Darwin Grosse of
CreativeSynth.com here in sunny Japan. It's an excellent CD, and the
production quality is top notch.

I would recommend it to anyone like me who does not yet have a Serge,
and who wants to hear what this beast is capable of. It was
especially refreshing to hear it being used for something other than
huge melodic ambient dronescapes (not that I dislike these ;) It
reminded me of Throbbing Gristle in places!

Any chance you could let us know what modules you have John? Is there
a photo of your system in the archives? I saw one in your latest
CreativeSynth.com article, but it was too small to make out the
modules.

Best Wishes,

Gregg

Wow, thanks!

You can see the main system here:
http://www.scampers.com/EGRES/gallery_20.html, it's the 3-panel Serge.
The 'photos' were taken from a freeze frame of a video camera, not
greatest quality. We have a still camera now so maybe I'll take some
better pix. To this 3 panel system I recently added another panel:
PCO, EQ, ACPRx2, BUFF, CMX, QTKB, COM, BLOG, WAD.
The main system is very close to being a Blue Funstation with a couple
substitions, and was made in '97.
m/n/m/l is just a name I came up with ... minimalism, mystery,
ambiguity, idiosyncrasy.

In addition to "Perpendicular Twist" I have another CD, "another round
thing with music on it". It can go alongside your other musical round
things: player piano rolls, music box disks, magnetic tape reels, 45's
or what have you.
I will release a new CD before too long. Each one has taken over a year
to make... I am slow and fussy.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
