Far be it from me to run to the authorities, but you clearly don't
understand the terms of using eBay to sell gear, and second I hope they
don't find out you've done this. If you don't know what I'm talking
about, review your eBay terms and conditions: once you've put items up
for auction, you've not supposed to back out on your potential buyers
because you've found religion outside of eBay and can therefore avoid
their fees AND still sell your items at the same time.

Again, I'm no snitch, but occasionally eBay works and its usually when
you've got upright sellers and buyers. You're neither.

I don't know who this guy is, but suffice it to say that he might be
misrepresenting his goods in this "auction" and I hope the buyer is
aware of this. I've got a private email from him that could confirm said
misrepresentation. Email for details, particularly if you are the
"buyer" of this "auction".

Blake (yes, I'm a little pissed these auctions didn't play out like they
were supposed to.)

Agreed. The seller certainly fails to understand the concept of an
AUCTION. This is grounds for ebay to cancel your account.

Exactly. Cancelling an auction is grounds for removal from ebay, just
as canceling a bid is. Both buyers and sellers are held accountable.

As an alternate view, my experience with eBay is that they have become less and less
concerned with their seller base and many people who were once staunch and loyal eBayers are now
trying to play the game their own way. To maintain integrity among their sellers, perhaps eBay
might look towards maintaining integrity amongst themselves.

To tell someone that they "clearly don't understand the terms of using eBay", when they quite
possibly do and yet decide to go against the stated policy, is a bit heavy handed. I don't
condone the abuse of eBay, nor do I condone the abuse of eBay's sellers by eBay themselves.
Still, both things happen regularly. (shrug)

I think it's spot on actually.
If Ebay aren't going to do anything then it's up to the users to 'name and
shame' the abusers.
There is so much heavy handed talk of 'negative or zero' feedback by
sellers, not to mention the vendors who wont sell to anyone except USA or
Canadian citizens. It's time that some of the dodgy sellers were pointed
out.
