8 panels up on ebay

8 panels up on ebay

2002-10-15 by M. Blake Wilson

This guy has got a nice system up on ebay that might sell at real deals:

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=evil-genius-auctions&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=25

Watch the wrap around.

No reserves!

Based on the recent message concerning the vintage of these panels,
has anyone determined when they were made? The auctions end tomorrow,
and I might be a bit less prone to bid if they are indeed pre-80s
modules.

FWIW, they don't *look* like the newer series.

They are most certainly pre-1980. Compare the panels to the 1978 Serge
catalog in the files section. It's a direct match. By 1979 Serge was
using the new style graphics. The ebay panels contain modules that were
only available with the earlier series, such as the 3 wide triple
waveshaper, (pulse) sequencer, bidirectional router, triple comparator,
keyboard envelope generator, and combined ring modulator and VCA. Based
upon the combination of newer and older modules, I'd say 1978 is a good
guess for these panels.
