17 units wide!
2002-09-16 by sasami@hotkey.net.au
Here's a real brain teaser. I have just noticed that my Serge has 17 "units"
width, specifically, 1 unit per inch width of the panel. Almost all other
Serges are 16 wide, ith 1/2 inch overhand at each end. The only other
instrument I have seen with this denser packing is the multicolored vintage
one in the group's photo section.
Obviously this change was made very early on. Does anybody know when it
happened? How many (approx) were made in this 17 unit format?
