What the Compressed FRS Output Does from Rex

What the Compressed FRS Output Does from Rex

2001-04-06 by sebsi23@home.com

I asked Rex what the Compressed output on the FRS does; he said "its the input, but compressed!". Thanks.....
I pressed him, and he said that the input signal is compressed in order to remove (or at least not increase)
spurious sidebands anyway, and the output merely taps that part of the signal chain.
Its at a set ration of 4:1, apparently. He then went off on a bunch of stuff I absolutely did not understand.
chris mc., you would have been right at home in this conversation.
