SSG

2002-07-03 by DarkStr717@aol.com

Got to foolin' around last night and came up with a quasi-stepped generator.
If this is redundant or otherwise common knowledge, flame me in private or
congratulate me for clawing my way out of blockhead status.
Moduals..... VC Clock / Pulse divider
gate "out" from one of the clocks into "input" of Pdiv. (set Clock between
11 & 12:00)
take the output of either 3,4 or 5 from the Pdiv and bring it back into the
VC "in" of the other clock. Set switch to "both". The "freq" knob will
control the rate of the steps.
I think this is how i remember it from last night. I'll check myself out
tonight. I'm having a little trouble with the 'ol memory this morn 'cause i
got a slammin' migrain right out of the gate today and the head is a little
scrambled. hahaha...... great way to show up for work. Yes......... it's
gonna be a slow one today folks!!!!! LMAO!!!!
Kind regards
John D

Err -- where is the step output? It sounds like you're creating a sort of wacky
clock-pulse rhythmn source. But all I see are pulses, not steps.

The LED on the second clock that you are pulsing should behave and look like
your stepped generator......mine did... i didn't check this at the audio
level... i was too tired. Sorry if i've wasted everyones time. I guess i'm
still just a numbskull. I'm out until Friday... I'll either confirm that
this is happening like i think or I'll just drop off the list for lack of
intelligence.

Still waiting for your in depth analysis of the strange SSG patch.

I don't have a VC clock in my rig but maybe something similar can be done with a
DTG??

Thanks

Sorry if this is a little off topic or offensive to anyone...

I just purchased a populated PCB for a serge smooth/stepped
generator, and am wanting to put it in a nice little front for my
modular... does anyone have any information for the pot/jack/power
connections from the pcb... I would greatly appreciate any help

thank you

Marc

I have a similar situation. Please cc me for any info on the SSG
pot/jack/power connections and pot values.

Thanks,

Scott
