Here's something else to talk about: check out the mysterious Serge
panel and the banana-ized Doepfer in this synth collection:
www.stucki.com/krhen/downloads/jdiaz

I dare you to find another Serge panel with a ring modulator and
phaser like the one on this system.

hmmmm....this pic:

http://www.stucki.com/krhen/downloads/jdiaz/jd14.jpg

shows the mystery panel pretty clearly. IMHO, thats not made by STS. there is no STS logo on the lower left, the lettering is stickers, and damn me if rex wouldn't charge and arm and a leg (far beyond *any* perceived worth) to add those features, compose the panel layout, etc. but who knows.

kris rhen might!

b.

ps: pretty neat collection; of course, its all up for sale by mr. rhen.

Nope - not our work behind the panel.

Actually, I believe that the actual panel started off as a blank panel that we had - a filler panel of sorts. It's not marked STS - we won't put our name on something that we didn't build and this qualifies there.

No idea whose circuits are used inside the thing.

mmmm..... looks like a DIY doohickey complete with sticky tape labeling. I knew a guy who made a couple panels (a pulse sequencer and a joystick bank) like this to fill out his old Serge.

I asked the owner about this on one of the lists. They’re Moogerfooger circuits inside Serge style panels.

AHAAAA!! Right you are, my friend! Rex Probe was gracious enough to
sell me an empty chassis with a blank panel, and I personally
disemboweled and bananized the MF's. These signal processors are
awesome, guys! They both have LFO's that can be patched out to other
components of my Serge, and the sound is ultra-high quality. Highly
recommended.
Jesus Diaz, aka cuari

P.S. BTW, Blake, the stuff is mine, not kris Rhen's. He is hosting me
on his site (Thanx, Kris!).

-BTW, guys, if any of you is interested, I'm selling the bananized
Doepfer seen on the pictures. It has a Moogerfooger filter (THE Moog
filter!) and a Roland 2-octave velo-sens. KB with MIDI. Serious
inquiries only at jesusd@...
