Chris, you totally missed the point. No Serge content? Ha, that's
what you think!
Look. Have you really missed that the arpguy has been posting
messages like "will pay good $$ for all kinds of synths and
paraphernalia" on basically every synth mailinglist that you
subscribe to? He buys everything from vintage to DopeFur. He knows
good gear.
Now think further. What are his thoughts behind re-selling all the
gear he has paid good $$ for? Of course it's that he can expect to
get even more good $$ for it!
Before you wonder how - understand that this is his given right,
since the original owners obviously were just too busy, or too shy,
or too silly to find the most well-to-do and financially potent
buyers out there (who knows why they bother reading mailinglists and
messageboards). Arpguy, the man with the J, relieves them from this
hard laborous process.
But of course no one's pretending he's a saint, oh no. Besides his
motivation, he also has expectations, and pride, like everyone of us.
That's ok. The caring synth buyer really should be willing to pay
additional $$ for dealing with a reknowned and reputable guy like the
arpguy rather than making risky transactions with unknown one-time
sellers.
And where does one find more financially potent synth buyers than on
a Serge users group?
Cheers.
