Jim's Jacks

Yes Jim!

tMost people will agree that the ITT Pomona company - is the
Rolls Royce of Bananaland...

The Johnson company is also very good,
(almost anything else if seen is total Junk)!

Be careful not to prucahase the cheapo panel jacks with the
rotating inserts as they will quickly twist the solderd wire
connection behind your panels right off!
(look for a metal insert inside that does NOT rotate)...

No worries with the Pomonas,(same with all the Johnsons too I
think)

Pomona must be purchased through a dealer which can be a
hassle at times whith minium orders, and avalability of colors.
(Seems everyone has exactly what you're looking for - as long as
you only want red or black)!

The specs can be here:

Here is a pomona link to the cables -

are elsewhere close

and the jacks...

The red one is typical, although there are others on different
pages...

I believe a that The standard panel hole for Bananas is 5/16
inch, though many prefer a "D" shaped hole, and are in two
parts front & back that bridge the gap.

The Johnsons might be a little simpler to mount and probably
slightly less expensive - they are all in the Allied Electronics
Catalog as well.

Watch for my next post if you should be interested in a great deal
on Pomona banana patch cords as well...

Good Luck!

Cynthia
