the sound of two outputs clapping

Anyone ever actually fry a module by mispatching? I never did but I'm pretty
careful.
Also, any reliability problems of note?? I've had some IC's go on my UAP....
I've heard that happen to others too.

never fried anything myself and i sure have given a go. Had a DTG go out on
me a couple years ago and a UAP. I'm having a problem with a quadrature right
now, but everthing has been minor and I've been able to fix things with a
little help from Rex and a local friend.
Kind regards

I had a wavering PCO a few months back - it was after a thunderstorm and I
feared that
the panel had gotten electrical damaged somehow... I called Rex and he said
the chances of
that happening were remote but possible despite the protective measures
built into the circuitry
and PS. He sent out a replacement oscillator board within 48 hrs (to the
UK!) that's service for you...

However by then - to my surprise - the problem totally disappeared... either
my ears were wobbly or the problem fixed itself.
Its been 100% ever since!

Not particularly from choice , but , I've had to fly/ship my system
in a skb mixer case a quite a few times & I've seen the handlers
throw it around oblivious to my protestations & plastered FRAGILE
stickers -indeed the case bears a few scars from this treatment
including a snapped frame - but in all this travel /touring for 8 or
so years & all I've had go wrong is a screw coming loose on one of
the front panels & an intermittant (and seemingly self-righting)
loose connection in a cv mixer module.
I would have to say that I would'nt do or recommend it out of
choice , but it appears that the manufacture & build quality are
pretty much second to none . I'd make the Rolls-Royce analogy without
too much worry .Or would that be Cadillac.......?
best regards
