Pls clarify + Freq Shifter Compressor

Can anyone clarify the current situation re: purchasing Serge panels?
Are the shop panels still being sold out of the SF factory? Can I
only order custom panels from Rex in Wisconsin? How long is the wait
for custom panels?
Also - anybody know the purpose of the Compressor output on the Serge
Freq shifters. I like what it does to my drum loops, etc - but its
very noisy. Why is it on this particular module?
