Serge Modular System 78 is credited as being
used on jazz pianist Stanley Cowell's LP
'Talkin Bout Love' on US Galaxy/Fantasy Records
(1978).
I'm a great fan of Stanley Cowell but this album
is one of his poorest efforts. The Serge patch
is extremely basic from what I can hear but its
interesting that he had one nonetheless. His all electronic
tracks on his earlier album 'Waiting For the
Moment' are much better - but no Serge.
Just to confirm, Richie Hawtin had 6 panels last
time I spoke with him about gear and stuff.
Most of my own material post 1997 features my 3
panel (soon to be 4) setup. My latest 12" on UK New
Religion/EMI
'Nairobi' / 'Nairobi' (Carl Craig Remix) /
Unruly is almost all Serge - including the drums/percussion sounds.
