he time has come for me to make some changes in my very small home/personal synth set up. As such I have decided to part with one of my custom designed Serge Modular panels that was built by Rex and Co.
This is (in my opinion) a truly wonderful and powerful panel that could be the center piece of a system or used totally by itself. I spent a LOT of time laying it out with Rex and it includes a number of custom modifications done by Rex along with a module that is no longer offered.
The panel is in absolute mint condition without dings, dents scratches. marks and everything works perfectly as the day it was received. The panel is in a low profile transit style chassis box so it takes up minimal space and can fit into a M-Case.
Module List and Description (Left to Right):
1) PCO 1 - Standard PCO with orange sync jack.
2) PCO 2 - Standard PCO with orange sync jack.
3) Divide by N Comparitor - One of my favorite modules, very powerful.
4) Ring Modulator - Sounds wonderful, can be used as a VCA too!
5) Smooth/Stepped Generator - Another Serge favorite with a manual trigger button in the stepped section done by Rex. Note that this version will self generate as a sample and hold unlike newer designs which limit the swing of the Coupler output.
6) Dual Random Generator - A GREAT module (no longer offered by Rex) that provides dual smooth, stepped CV's along with random triggers. Speed can be modulated by CV (or audio!). Modifications on this module include a White and Pink Noise outputs and a S/H Source output (green jack) which is great as a mod source and for the Smooth/Stepped module.
7) Dual Transient Generator - The left side has a black INPUT gack and the right side was modded to include a Rise/Both/Fall switch like the Slope Gen to select what part of the envelope is modulated by the CV input...nice!
8) xVCFQ - Extended range VCF...sounds tremendous as you all know.
9) Dual Channel Stereo Mixer - Two channels with independent level and pan modulation.
As you can see on the back of the panel the power is via dual pig tails to ensure that there is sufficient juice to the innards...this is a very dense panel. There is also a stereo RCA cable that taps off the left and right outputs of the Stereo Mixer so you can send signals from behind as well as the front (best to use one or the other).
So that's it...a great panel and a total gas to use alone or with friend panels. Asking price is $4300 shipped in the 48 states. Not doing international to start as customs seems to be a nightmare. Happy to talk to you about the panel if you're interested, please contact me off list and include your phone contact. I can provide references and have been dealing with Rex for about 18 years. This is a no BS, 100% honest deal.
