Hey All,
I had been planning a portable case just for my Creature "m-odule" until
Rex announced the "M-locker" and saved me the hassle of the cabinetwork.
I'm pretty handy with a miter box but, after seeing the lovely photos, I
was blown away and phoned him with a lot of questions.
With his kind permission, thought I'd share his reply with the group:
.................................
"I will be making it available with and without the lid, and its
associated locker hardware.
That way, people who are the 'indoor' sports will have a fine piece of
furniture in their studios.
btw - this will sit, as pictured, in a 'low-boy' profile AND by rotating
the m-odule 180 degrees,
will also be able to 'flip-up' 90 degrees into a 'high-boy' stance (with
the rear now the bottom)
The power supply will be the external [PS2a] and feed in through the
back (in 'high boy') or through
the bottom (in 'low-boy' style)
It is all select 5/8" cherry wood (including the bottom plate) with dark
handrubbed stain and sealed satin finish. This combination becomes
'deeper' in tone a grain contrast over time and sun exposure."
....................................
Cherry is one of my favorite hardwoods so this was great news to me! It
will go nicely with another recent project of mine done in cherry:
http://www.carbon111.com/pro1.html
Price is TBA but it looks like a fine piece of craftsmanship, no doubt. ^_^
Best Regards, James
