The switches on the Ebay sequencer/VCO panel are the standard ones for the early 1980 era, AFAIK. They appear to be the same on a 1979-1983 era university system that I used. The old switches require much more pressure to activate AND have a smaller surface area than current Serge pushbutton switches. I would say they are very inconvenient at the least, and user unfriendly at the worst.

While it's the worst photo imaginable for detailed analysis, it seems to me the the push buttons on this programmer are the touch switches Serge played around with in the late 70s (last time I saw them). There were a bunch of them laying around at one point, but the only system i've ever seen them in was Gary Chang's - and they are still there and functional (2 million years later).
These may not be them (again, picture is shite), but they do resemble the touch switches.
