Well I'm not that worried about causing fatal damage from accidental out to
out patching. Indeed Rex once encouraged me to close my eyes and just
randomly patch stuff (can lead to some amusing results!). If he has such
confidence in patching technique which would inevitably lead to a few
out-out patches I don't think you have to stress accidently out-out
patching.
