My friend asked me about the Europa mod for the JP-6. How many people here
are using it and have you experienced any problems or disappointment in this
product?

I beta tested it since the beginning. It works very well indeed, and adds
midi control over every possible parameter -- leaving out only those things
like the LFO and pitch bend, whcih aren't connected to the controller.
Random patch generator, the most advanced arpeggiator known to man (or
woman).
What's more it now transmits knob moves as CC's to let you control other
synths. And the arpeggiator transmits as well.

If you have a Jupiter 6, you want this.

sounds very good :)
is there a way to turn local off on the fader to jp6 connection to turn this
into a knob box w set controllers (while not effecting the internal sounds
on the jp6)?
thanks for the info!

Yes. I don't have the manual in front of me but you can use Local Off.
There are loads of fun things you can do with Europa, like controlling
other synths with the arpeggiator ... local off is pretty much essential
for this...
