Thanks everyone for replying!

When Tony Allgood mentioned the SH-09, it made me think of a dead RS-09
I have,
and I decided to make it more dead. ;-). (Didn't realize it had the
BA662A
in it. I replaced it and now I have all 16 VCOs firing, YAY!, of course
I'm not done, 2 minor problems to knock out now.

1) VCO2 sine waveform noisy
2) VOICES A,B,C,D sound brighter than VOICES E,F,G,H. I assume this
is narrowing the problem to a MODULE CONTROLLER, which one,
I not sure.

Thanks again!

I'm slowly getting closer to being ready for a midi kit.

I had the same probelm with my JP-8 #1 recently. It was easily fixed, I
reseated the ribbon cables inside, it was just a case of a dirty connection
on the cable between the module controller board and the voice boards.

If you've opened yours to replace the VCO part recently, you may have
already done that. But try it before getting too far into diagnosing in a
deeper way and looking for a more difficult problem.

Regards,
Mike.
