That's the magic words right there. They didn't know what it was, and
some casual tweaking may easily only make bleeps and bloops. I got a
Moog Prodigy for free, because the snooty (non-playing) electrical
engineer that owned it had the filters swept to 'dog whistle' and
considered it broken. It was fine. The JP8 still ranks as one of my
most valued possesions, though.
That buyer was surely smiling large all the way home.
