I assume you've taken account of the fact that dual mode means just 
that - the JP8 becomes two 4-voice synths that play simultaneously. 
Hence you get 4 oscs/note with corresponding increase in phatness, 
etc....

The real way to tell is to compare the JP in single mode with it in 
dual mode with the output from one of the "halves" muted (kill the 
upper or lower signal at the mixer). Does it sound the same then? My 
money says it does :-)
