Subject: Re: [AH] Juno-106 vs. JP-8000 (was Jupiter 6 vs. JP-8000) I think where the Nord products, Waldorf products, and to a degree the JP-8000/8080 get a bum rap is that people want to try and make them sound like old synths when they really have strong personalities of their own. I think it ok to try and duplicate those sounds but when you experiment with them they can do you can come up with some nice sounds. A lot of people complain about the zip effect or the digital sound of the JP-8000 the only problem I had with the JP-8000 was that short keyboard, but my tracks that have JP-8000 on them were always layered with other synths so I would get smoother sweeps. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chad Gould <Chad_Gould@...> To: <analogue@...> Sent: Monday, June 28, 1999 10:08 AM Subject: RE: [AH] Juno-106 vs. JP-8000 (was Jupiter 6 vs. JP-8000) > > I'd assume up-front that there's some original character in the 106 > because > > there's SOOO many artists who still use the thing.
