The stabs I heard on both were not synth
specific...they can be recreated on well enough on many other
synths.....there was a time I was into stabs too......

I just found out that the Duran Duran song, "Is There Something I
Should Know", was not done on a Roland Jupiter-8, but a rival
synthesizer, the Oberheim OB-Xa. I have watched the Top of the Pops
performance of that song ans saw what Nick Rhodes played. The stabs in
Rick Springfield' s "Human Touch" was done on an Oberheim OB-8. How can
I be so mislead? All I know is that was the answer to my unanswered
question
