2200 Ink Usage with QTR and UT7

2200 Ink Usage with QTR and UT7

2005-08-27 by michaelrosensf

Looking at the cool and warm curves .qidf files for UT7 and EEM with the 2200, they seem
to say that each uses only three inks: K, C and LC or K, M and LM for a total of five inks
used. LK and Y are never mentioned.

This is true for the curves included with Roy's software and the ones just posted by Daniel
Staver.

However, I've made sixteen prints with the UT7 inks and the Epson Printer Utility says that
all seven inks have been used - and somewhat approximately equally. (My prints were
about half 50-50 and half 25-75 cool-warm.)

Am I delusional?

Hi Michael.... I'm wondering if the ink usage seems to be equal mostly because of the
charging done when you first put the inkset in?

Are you saying that your Epson Printer Utility says no usage for the LK and Y inks? How
many prints have you made? Am I delusional?

Michael
